ST12 name given by the father of Pepep, Helmi Aziz (late) which is a continuation of the East Station 12, the address of rental studio where they met.
ST12 struggle to get the label finally bear fruit when their debut album, The Best Way, successful releases under the label Music Plus in 2005. Three singles became hits on this album, 'I'm Not Able Again', 'I'm Still In Love', and 'Taste the Disadvantaged'. The desire to reach out to the existence in the world of music made them willing to go through a long series of touring shows. ST12 hard work was not in vain, their debut album sales reached more than 400,000 copies and its Ring Back Tone downloaded by more than 1,000,000 downloads.
But amid their efforts to achieve success, Charly, Pepep, and Pepeng must accept the bitter truth personnel lost one ST12 - Faith Rush - who died in Hyderabad due to the rupture of blood vessels in the brain on the date October 22, 2005.
In 2008, ST12 PUSPA released the album under the label of PT. Trinity Optima Production. On this album, Charly created the song 'At Last' which is dedicated to Faith Rush. The song 'Puspa' quickly accepted by the Indonesian music lovers. This song topped the charts in radio-radio Indonesia for 5 (five) weeks and remained in the charts for 15 (fifteen) weeks. Not broken only in song Puspa, the stronger the existence ST12 direleasenya other singles from the album Puspa. The song 'Find Boyfriend Again', 'At Last' and 'Never Change', bringing ST12 into the ranks of the top artists in Indonesia.
Only within the period of 3 (three) months, the ST12 was awarded double platinum sales award for album PUSPA. Not only that, the recognition of the work of ST12 is also evident from the use of songs as a themesong ST12 in various soap operas that aired on television.
Tight schedule of shows, has become their daily lives. However long the journey is still waiting in front of the eye, now the struggle faced by the ST12 is maintaining the existence of which has now been achieved.
