Loretta Lynn will have a blooming 2011 thanks to the "Loretta Lynn Van Lear rose' plants that will be delivered to her Tennessee ranch in the spring.

The rose was developed by Brad Jalbert of Select Roses and is a floribunda, an ever-blooming hybrid with a deep color described as apricot. The rose was named after Loretta's Grammy-winning album 'Van Lear Rose' and presented to Loretta by Sony Music on December 9. The record label recently released 'Coal Miner's Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn' featuring an all-star cast performing the iconic entertainer's songs.

"Roses have always been so special to me -- I've loved them since I was a girl," said Loretta. "So, to have a rose named after one of my albums ... well, I'm not sure I quite have the words for that! I'm just very, very honored. I can't wait to have those Van Lear roses blooming in my yard!"

But don't call to place an order for the roses yet. There will be a few plants available in the spring, but those will mainly be available in Brad's native Canada. Residents in the U.S. will likely be able to order the roses by mail next fall.

Even though Loretta was joyful about this latest honor, she never wanders far from her humble roots. "Honey, I look at these awards like they are somebody else's so that I can stay grounded," she tells Country Weekly. "I'm proud of my awards and every one I get, I'm more proud of. You just don't forget where you come from. I just close my eyes and I know where I'm from. I go back to that little one-room cabin where I lived until I was 11 years old."
