Melechesh combine Black Metal with Middle Eastern influences, mainly based on Mesopotamian / Sumerian and occult themes (both music and lyrics). Melechesh music are often referred to as "Mesopotamian Metal".
Melechesh throughout their career to stay in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Melechesh consists of three ethnic groups and none from Israel (whether Jewish or Arab). Ashmedi of Armenians / Assyrian, Moloch of the Assyrian and XUL from the Netherlands.
